Life sciences industry experts gathered for four days at ILMAC in Basel at the end of September to explore trends and developments of industrial applications in process and laboratory technology. The GMP experts of gempex Switzerland were also available to the industry audience with their expertise.
ILMAC attracted more than 12,000 visitors on all four days – no wonder the gempex wheel of fortune kept on spinning and the main prizes were quickly won. Aside from the wheel of fortune, the GMP experts at the gempex booth were mainly in demand for topics such as the following:
- Maintaining GMP compliance in an operating pharmaceutical manufacturing plant through a tailor-made GMP upgrade
- Optimal preparation for official audits by Swissmedic or RHI
- GMP certification for medical cannabis production
- Support for qualification and validation activities
- GMP training for specific topics
“Even though the number of visitors to our booth fell slightly short of expectations, the discussions were promising,” Perry Fischer, Managing Director gempex Switzerland, is happy to report. “That is not only regarding to expected projects. We were also able to communicate our efforts to increase staffing at our Sisseln location.”
ILMAC will be held for three days every two years going forward. Thus the next event will be from 21 to 23 September 2021.
