gempex awards three new German scholarships at the University of Mannheim

gempex has been awarding German scholarships to biotechnology students at the University of Mannheim every year since 2010. This year the presentation took place on 28 November 2018 with a ceremonial supporting programme at the university as part of University Day 2018. A total of 34 students at the University of Mannheim received one or two-year German scholarships with a total value of EUR 136,800 this year.

The German scholarship assists students who set themselves apart with outstanding performance in their studies. Since choosing the students in the respective departments is up to the university, Elke Bonn, HR Manager at gempex, looks forward to meeting the scholarship recipients in person each year: “Other than with the SME scholarships at the University of Mannheim, we only get to know the recipients of our German scholarships on the day of the presentation. I always really forward to that! We have been closely associated with the university for years, mainly supporting the biotechnology department – not entirely without self-interest. After all, some graduates with a master’s degree have subsequently started their careers with us in the Besselstraße.”

gempex not only offers a direct entry into the exciting world of pharmaceutical industry and, as a GMP service provider, insights into various complex projects for new university graduates, but also supports and promotes the development of every employee through the gempex Academy – a varied training programme tailored to the individual. All of this is provided internally by experienced GMP experts. This approach is unrivalled among midsize enterprises.
