Perlen Packaging is an international group of companies in the field of film manufacturing and film coating for primary packaging for pharmaceutical products. The group is the only systems provider of packaging films with a clearly defined pharmaceutical profile. Processes, facilities, products and environment are geared to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. The Perlen Packaging companies form the packaging division of the CPH Group (Chemie + Papier Holding AG).
Perlen Packaging (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2014 and, thanks to the capacity expansion, establishes the basis for the further strategic growth, especially in Asia’s pharmaceuticals market. The “Competence Centre for Barrier Films/New Plant for PVDC Coating” commenced operation end 2016.
In the major construction project, gempex was responsible for GMP compliance right from the initial idea to the current final point. The GMP service provider is justly proud of accompanying such a project from start to finish: from the design review to planning and project organisation, qualification and validation to successful certification and now to the verified completion of all GMP-related tasks.
Two and a half years after the start of the project, in July of 2018, long-term qualification activities for this large and exciting project have been concluded as well. Thus all GMP-related tasks for the new construction and technology transfer project have been completed successfully. This may seem like a long time – but not necessarily! The PQ phase for a facility alone takes more than one full year. So it’s a good thing when everything runs reliably as planned.
