Ceremonial presentation of scholarships at 2019 University Day in Mannheim

German scholarships were presented on 27 November 2019 at the University of Mannheim in the course of the annual University Day. Regional companies are supporting students at the University of Mannheim with a total of 136,800 euros. 34 students in various specialist fields benefited from this special recognition of their outstanding performance. For the 10th time in succession, gempex is supporting three students in the specialist field of biotechnology with a one-year German scholarship.

This year the personal presentation of the gempex scholarships to the three recipients was performed by Frank Studt, Director of Human Resources and Sales & Marketing. “With the position of Ralf Gengenbach, founder and owner of gempex, as Chairperson of the Advisory Board, gempex has maintained a relationship with the University of Mannheim and especially the field of biotechnology for many years. So it is only natural for us to support students who exhibit outstanding performance. Of course this is not entirely unselfish, since biotechnologists from the University of Mannheim have repeatedly found their way to us in the past after completing their studies. I am very pleased that I had the opportunity to personally congratulate our scholarship recipients this year,” said Frank Studt regarding the presentation of the German scholarships in the name of gempex.

With its gempex Academy, the GMP service provider based in Mannheim offers a perfect entrance to the GMP world of the life sciences industry for career starters in particular. Here individual training supports each employee according to their needs, while a succession of projects offers exciting insights into good manufacturing practices in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Guided by experienced consultants, the entrants learn a lot in a short time and soon handle smaller GMP projects under their own responsibility.

But gempex is not only looking for biotechnologists. Pharmaceutical technicians, process technologists and other graduates of an engineering or natural science course of studies are always invited to inform themselves about GMP (only German language) and gempex as an employer.
