gempex supports Evonik Operations GmbH.
Evonik has established a fixed procedure for qualifying suppliers of raw materials and packaging as well as service providers. Competent additional manpower was now required to carry out the numerous supplier qualifications in order to maintain compliance requirements.
In order to reinforce internal resources, demand-oriented support was to be provided for more than 50 qualifications in line with the conceptual standards. Qualifications that had already been started were to be completed, and further re-qualifications and new qualifications were to be carried out.
A permanent gempex team was established remotely to take over the pending qualifications on the basis of a priority list. The resulting good overview of the system and processes was an advantge for the efficient execution. The exchange of documents took place in a structured manner via a central sharepoint, and a defined quality assurance contact person was available at the customer's site for communication purposes.
For each supplier, a qualification plan was drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the SOP. Necessary information from audits, specifications, analytical testing and agreements was then requested, evaluated and a qualification report was prepared in accordance with the template and handed over to the customer for approval.
For uncomplex qualifications, a newly developed combined document consisting of plan and report was used. Successful qualification and support in daily-business could be ensured in this way through established tools and routine working methods.
Thanks to the competent relief of personnel, Evonik was able to provide the numerous supplier qualifications on time and prove compliance.
